He led India to the 2003 ODI World Cup final, though they fell short to Australia. His Test side also achieved notable victories, including a 2-1 win over Australia in the 2000-01 Border-Gavaskar Trophy and a 1-1 draw in the 2003-04 series.
Kevin Pietersen, an England legend, played 104 Tests, scoring 8181 runs at an impressive average of 47.28. His impact was immediate, as he played a crucial role in England's 2005 Ashes victory, ending a 17-year wait for the urn. Pietersen's strokeplay was flamboyant, and he was the Player of the Tournament in England's 2010 T20 World Cup win. He also contributed significantly to England's success in Test series, including a notable win in India in 2012-13, ending a 28-year drought.
Anjum Chopra, a left-handed batter, made her international debut in 1995 and quickly made her mark. She became the first Indian woman to reach 1000 ODI runs and played a full 127 ODIs, scoring 2856 runs. Chopra also captained India in all three formats, leading them to notable victories, including a Test win in South Africa in 2002. Her best Test score of 98 against England in Taunton showcased her prowess.
